Roham Amirifar / Borderless Creatures with a premiere at Acker Stadt Palast

The Flaked Signal is a dance production by Iranian choreographer and dancer Roham Amirifar, developed in collaboration with the Borderless Creatures collective, which gathers artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. Created between a village in northern Iran and Berlin, the performance unfolds a fragmented choreography of hesitation, gravity, and inchoate touch. Three bodies embark on an intimate journey through layers of pain, memory, and fleeting intimacy, with contact improvisation transforming into an expanded form of listening: voices shift, bodies dissolve and rediscover themselves, while Niki Yaghmaee's electroacoustic soundscapes intensify the sensitive structure between intimacy and aloofness.
