Raise your voice!

Sound, Body and Voice at This Year’s Tanznacht Berlin

Featuring the working title Vocal Affairs, Tanznacht Berlin 2025, curated by Mila Pavićević and Felicitas Zeeden, will present a feminist festival program which revolves around voice itself—as both a political and artistic medium. In U.F.O., Jule Flierl and Irena Z. Tomažin will explore the SoundBodyPoetry of Katalin Ladik, while Agata Siniarska will give a voice to non-human bodies in null&void. In his piece Warp Renderings, Sergiu Matis will deconstruct landscape imagery, while Oozing Gloop & Anali Goldberg will be staging BAD GIRLS—a celebration of the absurdity embedded in our everyday norms, brought to life with glamor and verve. The festival will open with a polyphonic vocal performance by the Otucha Collective in the courtyard. Meanwhile, the feminist MONAliesA library will invite visitors at the festival center to read, reflect, and stay awhile. (jw)
