SHAPE – Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE’s New Festival by Young People, for Everyone
What happens when young people cease to be merely the audience and instead become the creators of a festival themselves? For SHAPE, Tanzfabrik Berlin BÜHNE has invited six young curators to develop their own festival. Under the motto Alles ist politisch (Everything Is Political), it explores questions of responsibility, history, and one’s own actions in the world. Drawing on topics such as looted art and responsible consumption, the young curators explore how social issues are embedded in art and everyday life. The program combines dance performances, (handicraft) workshops, poetry slams, music, and discussion formats, inviting participants to exchange perspectives, share knowledge, and develop their own positions.
