Funding is provided for projects in which children and young people play a key role in planning and implementation. The focus is on children’s rights and child protection, sustainability, diversity, and equal opportunity.
There are various thematic funds:
- Children’s Culture Thematic Fund: Projects that promote creativity, the development of cultural identity, and participation in cultural life.
- Play Space Thematic Fund: Projects aimed at renovating or redesigning an existing play space.
- Media Literacy Thematic Fund: Projects that foster fun, knowledge, and critical awareness in dealing with media.
- Thematic Fund for Children’s Policy: Projects that address the principles of democratic participation by young
people or raise public awareness of children’s interests and rights.
Target group: Children and adolescents
Who can apply? Associations, operating foundations, non-profit organizations,
citizens’ initiatives, children and adolescents with the support of an adult
What is funded? Honoraria, material costs, expense reimbursements; administrative costs:
6%. Not eligible: Recurring personnel costs
Contribution: At least 20% of total project costs from own funds, third-party funding, or in-kind contributions
Funding amount: Up to €5,000, in exceptional cases up to €10,000
